The Elevated Sandbox is an excellent alternative to a traditional sandbox, which comes with a host of different advantages. First, it is much more accessible, since children in wheelchairs can roll right up to the edge of it to play with the rest of their peers. Second, it is much cleaner. Sand is coarse and rough and it gets everywhere. If children are sitting and playing in a pile of sand, they are certain to get their clothes dirty, and track some of that sand back inside after playtime.
