The Freestanding 90-Degree Trapezoid Loop Ladder is a new way to climb which offers a few advantages over the typical play structure of this variety. The angular shape of the overhead bar and rungs gives kids a benchmark for how far along they are as they swing across without having to see how many rungs are left. If they only make it to the first bend, they can make it a goal to reach the second. The two slight turns also ensure that the child’s field of view will change as they cross so that they aren’t just looking at the opposite side of the structure, and also provides a slight challenge to keep it from being repetitive. The entire structure is supported by four steel support posts, with an additional support attached to the middle of the overhead bar for added stability.
