Each activity on Happy Hollow is designed to encourage physical and social play while developing either fine or gross motor skills. Motor skills are building blocks for more complex motions. Gross motor skills are needed to run, jump and hop on one foot. Fine motor skills are especially important in modern society where using touch screens, typing, gripping a key and even holding a pencil are important actions. Happy Hollow?s design focuses on muscle development needed to accomplish many of the difficult motions children will use as they grow!
The Happy Hollow is a safe place for children from infants to toddlers and even up to pre-kindergarten, to learn. All slides and ramps adhere to the CPSC Guidelines allowing for a play experience that keeps children, caregivers, educators and parents feeling secure. Adding a safety surfacing such as poured in place, artificial grass or engineered wood fiber can add to the design and whimsy of the structure. It can be kept cool and out of the rain by adding a shade above it. Even without these additions, the Happy Hollow is an adventure that children will visit again and again.
The Happy Hollow is built of top-quality materials and is tough enough to withstand outdoor elements. The rotationally molded plastic is UV and water resistant. The slope of the floor keeps water from pooling during rain. Bolts are covered with plastic caps that create a solid, safe surface for children to play on.
