Unfortunately no, the swing hangers will be slightly too small. It sounds like you have a 2.5" schedule 40 pipe; in theory, you would need a 2-inch schedule 40 pipe to fit the 2-3/8 swing hanger.
What size of swing hanger work on a standard pipe with an OD of 2-7/8 inch

Standard swing hangers come in 2_3/8", 3_1/2", and 5" sizing. Unfortunately, we would not have one that would appropriately fit on one at the 2-7/8 inch top rail.
