The Great Lakes are a must-see, and the towns along the shores are like hidden gems. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor adventures awaiting people of all ages. 1. Kid’s Corner

This South Haven playground is an elaborate wooden castle-themed structure with a variety of classic play items. 2. Legoland Discovery Center

Located in Great Lakes Crossing Outlets, this Michigan indoor playground is truly a landmark. It’s full of immersive lego-themed activities and games that will keep kids entertained for hours. It is perfect for the harsh Michigan winter months, as children can still enjoy active play while staying warm inside.

3. Eastwood Beach Playground at Stony Creek Metropark

This one-of-a-kind playscape is any kid's dream. It’s full of playground equipment Michigan children will go crazy over, including climbers, slides, tunnels, bridges, panels and so much more. It’s designed with bold and exciting colors, drawing eyes from miles away. The entire Stony Creek Metropark is full of amazing activities for adults and children, residents and tourists, really anyone who wants to have some fun!

4. County Farm Park

This is easily one of the best playgrounds in Ann Arbor. It has a whimsical farm theme with barn and tractor playhouses, a barn-themed play system, animal spring riders and so much more. The area also has gardens and shelter houses to observe on a nice Summer day. It really has something for everyone. Ann Arbor playgrounds are some of the best in the state and this one is a can’t miss.

5. Museum of Natural History at the University of Michigan

This museum is part of UM’s Literature, Science and Arts College.The collection of art and other exhibits began in 1837, and the museum’s current location was constructed and finished in 1928. The museum is 22,000 square feet in area, and shares its space with three other research museums on UM’s campus. In addition to the rolling exhibits and some of the best commercial playground equipment Michigan has, which change from month to month, there are four permanent exhibits that are part of this museum: anthropology displays, the Michigan Wildlife Gallery, the Hall of Evolution, and the Geology Displays.

6. Kerrytown

This historic district of Ann Arbor is known for its diverse shops, unique brick streets, and vibrant culture. Kerrytown was originally founded as part of the town of Ann Arbor, but later restored into what it is today. Kerrytown has several markets, restaurants, and local-owned shops selling items like clothing, jewelry, and art. Kerrytown is truly one of the best playgrounds in Ann Arbor. The farmers markets in Kerrytown sell a wide variety of locally-grown produce and other items, including farm crops, baked goods, and more - all of which are sure to delight both visitors and locals alike.

7. The Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum

These adjacent locations are both operated by the University of Michigan and feature a wide variety of display and botanical gardens, natural areas with hiking trails, and several high-quality outdoor habitats. In the Matthaei Botanical Gardens, one can find display gardens such as the Garfield Children’s Garden, as well as several trails for walking, wildlife viewing, and bird watching. This conservatory is over 10,000 square feet, and features several houses full of plants and other botanical items.
